Yadira Dago was born in the province of Pinar del Río, Cuba. She received her instructor title for Sign Language Interpretation at the Pedagogical Higher Institute in her native province. After graduating, Yadira worked for the association known as the National Deaf and Hearing Impaired in Cuba for four years. During those years, she interpreted sign language for an Elementary School who needed help interpreting to children with auditive difficulties, translating classes day to day. Her main function was to create a bridge of communication between the special needs students and the rest of the student body.
Yadira has a great passion for children's education and is very excited to form part of the team of teachers of Olas. Here she has the opportunity to teach her language, culture, and her knowledge of sign language. Her commitment as an educator is to inspire her students to explore the world around her, teach them the different and rich cultures that surround us. Each day, Yadira is supporting Olas with enthusiasm and energy to make the learning process a fun experience for everyone.
